Phoenix: $99 rooms for Californians this summer at Wigwam resort
- Share via
The Wigwam east of Phoenix began life in 1918 as a resort for Goodyear Tire & Rubber executives and a decade later emerged as a full-service resort. Here’s a great summer deal good for families: $99 a night for California residents.
The deal: The Wigwam in Litchfield Park outside Phoenix is a historic hotel with 331 casitas and suites in more than 400 acres with golf, spa and four pools, including one with a 25-foot twisting water slide. (Don’t confuse this with the funky Wigwam Village Motel in Holbrook, Ariz., with tepee-shaped rooms.)
The deal is $99 a night plus tax; the resort fee is waived too. Use the promotional code “CARES” when making a reservation, and you’ll have to present a California ID upon check-in.
When: The offer, subject to availability, is good for stays through Sept. 3.
Tested: I found an Adobe Traditional room available with two queen beds that can accommodate two adults and two children for $99 plus tax on Aug. 10-12. The best rate for the same room on the same nights would cost $129 a night plus tax without the deal.
