Election day is over in California, but that doesn’t mean you missed out on running for the Beer Advisory Board. What sounds like a state agency is actually one LAX hotel’s quest for a few stouthearted beer men or women.

Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles International Airport is looking for three Californians to join a newly formed brew board to consult on what beers should be served at the hotel’s Brewster’s Bar & Grill. The hotel already offers a 100-beer menu in its Best Brews program, which includes six pool-side taps dedicated to small breweries too.

Winners serve a one-year term (reporting to Justin Blake, director of brewer relations) and attend quarterly meetings at the hotel. They also receive free travel, lodging, brew tastings and other perks.

So write your best campaign pitch in 3,000 characters or less and file by June 30 at the hotel’s website. (Don’t even think of applying unless you’re older than 21.) Winners will be announced July 15.

Whether or not you run, the hotel also has a Beer Club Package open to anyone. It starts at $159 a night plus tax and comes with a nightly craft beer turndown (instead of chocolates), your favorite beer (you have to tell them in advance) or surprise beers to sample, and a souvenir glass. Cheers!
