Prices at Arizona spas and hotels usually dip in summer as temperatures rise. Miraval Resort & Spa in Tucson is no exception. The all-inclusive retreat is discounting room rates by about half this summer -- but only if you reserve by Thursday.

The deal: Prices for the 72-Hour Summer Sale start at $249 a night per person, based on double occupancy (excluding tax and resort fee) for stays on Sundays through Wednesdays only. Included are casita-style rooms, all meals and snacks (except alcohol), unlimited fitness and yoga classes as well as cooking demonstrations, hikes and other activities. The deal also comes with a free shuttle from Tucson International Airport and a welcome tote bag and water bottle.

No minimum stay is required for this offer, so you can book one night for some quick pampering. Note that guests must be at least 18 years old.

When: The offer is good through Thursday for stays through Sept. 19, based on availability.

Tested: I checked several dates (July 1-3 and Aug. 5-7, for example) for a two-night stay and found a room with one king-sized bed at the sale rate. With tax and resort fee, the cost comes to $1,315, or $657 per person, for two nights. Prices at the resort usually start at $500 a night.
