Daily Deal: Hollywood’s quirky, overdue Moment Hotel finally opens

The Moment Hotel opens Monday (today) in Hollywood with a 25% discount on rooms good through the end of the year. The hotel at 7370 Sunset Blvd., which was supposed to open earlier this year, is hard to miss: Just look for the tilting bright orange and purple walls with a giant “M.” Hard to believe it used to be the mundane Sunset Inn & Suites.
The deal: The Moment Hotel’s Be Our First Date Offer takes 25% off the best available rate, which starts at $239 a night plus tax. The interior repeats the orange, purple, green motif as accent colors in its 39 rooms. And yes, there are tilted or sloping walls inside too. The open-air roof deck has been transformed into a view-worthy lounge area and bar that’s open day and night.
When: The offer is good through Dec. 31.
Tested: I found availability for Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30- Sept. 2) for the discounted room rate of $164 a night plus tax. If you plan to park your car, add $22 a day for parking.
