Rolling on the river in Alaska means getting up-close with wild lands where bears, moose, bald eagles and other wildlife roam. Mountain Travel Sobek leads trips on the Tatshenshini and Alsek rivers this summer and offers $400 off to those who make a reservation by the end of March.

The 13-day Alsek River trip runs through three national parks and rafts down Class II to Class IV rapids along the way. Hike in forests, camp by the river at night and see large icebergs in Glacier Bay National Park. The 10-day Tatshenshini River trip covers more than 132 miles and navigates gentler rapids while traveling through a true wilderness area. Participants have a chance to view wildlife and explore glacier-carved valleys on foot too.

The deal: The $400 discount applies to the first five participants to sign up on selected dates. Use the promotion code “RV004” when making a reservation.
