From the Archives: Gentleman rider sends jumper through her paces
A similar image of the horse and rider appeared in the Jan. 15, 1936, Los Angeles Times. The Times caption reported:
In training for the amateur hunter's show at Flintridge Riding Club next Sunday, James A. Gough is seen above in a striking action shot as his mount Judith clears a hurdle. A varied program has been arranged.
Gough was not among the winners mentioned in a short follow-up article in the Jan. 20, 1936, Los Angeles Times.
