Grant Heslov is one of those people who makes having a Hollywood career look easy. Everything he touches turns to gold. Now the actor-writer-producer-director and George Clooney business partner hopes to bring his Midas touch to the Sherman Oaks house he wants to sell for $3,495,000.

The five-bedroom, 5 1/2 -bathroom house is an East Coast traditional with 5,628 square feet. It sits on a 21,000-square-foot lot, south of Ventura Boulevard. There is a formal living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, gourmet kitchen, family room with a fireplace and a bonus play room. The master suite has a walk-in closet and a third fireplace is in the den. The home has high, beamed ceilings, hardwood floors and walls of French doors. The yard has a vine-covered pergola, a play area and pool.

Heslov’s earliest credits were roles on “Happy Days,” “Family Ties” and “The Facts of Life” -- the TV series where he first met and befriended Clooney in 1986. He later went on to roles and guest spots on many of the popular TV shows of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s -- “Seinfeld,” Baywatch,” “L.A. Law” and “thirtysomething.” With Clooney, he wrote the script for “Good Night, and Good Luck,” the movie about legendary newsman Edward R. Murrow. Heslov also served as one of the film’s producers and played the role of Don Hewitt, the future “60 Minutes” producer.
