Daniel Powter, who sang his No. 1 hit, “Bad Day,” live on the penultimate show of “American Idol” in 2006, has listed his Brentwood-area house at $2,295,000.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom contemporary is light-filled and has hardwood floors, a dual fireplace in the living room-family room, and great wall space for art. The house has 2,659 square feet of living space. There is an outdoor entertainment area with a waterfall. The master bedroom suite has a fireplace and spa-like bath.

The Canadian-born Powter, whose website gives his age as 38, released his played-all-over “Bad Day” single in 2005. His latest album, “Under the Radar,” came out last summer. He is set to launch a European tour.
