Everybody loves a lazy Los Angeles Sunday, and that means long waits at restaurants citywide. But not at these spots. At least for now.

METRO DINER

Being hidden inside a Travelodge keeps the throng away from this gem. Take advantage and order a Serbian Americana breakfast, which includes a generous helping of eggs along with cold cured meat and fresh mozzarella, or the pancakes with bananas sauteed in butter, brandy and brown sugar. 11188 Washington Place, Culver City, (310) 559-6821

FIDDLER’S BISTRO

Toast, Doughboys and Quality are mobbed and you need eggs, caffeine and a Bloody Mary, stat. Head a few blocks east on 3rd Street and forgo the clueless crowds for Fiddler’s, an unpretentious American and Greek diner serving excellent dishes, including a breakfast burrito and lamb burger. LUNA PARK

We have no idea why Luna Park -- so cramped in the evenings -- ends up a ghost town at brunch. The menu includes biscuits and gravy, as well as fancier fare like a smoked salmon and brie frittata. 672 S. La Brea Ave., L.A., (323) 934-2110

CLIFF’S EDGE

We can’t guarantee no line ever, but it may be as close as you’ll get in Silver Lake. Something about the hidden door makes hungry post-partiers stumble right past. The outside tables alone seat more than 75. That’s plenty of room to get your Nutella French toast on. PACIFIC DINING CAR

The dark, old-fashioned library-like interior might not scream brunch, but 87-year-old Pacific Dining Car will fill you up until dinner.
