LOS ANGELES — Legendary archaeologist Indiana Jones will return to the silver screen when The Times' Hero Complex presents a newly restored, digitally projected version of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" at 7pm on September 12th at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14 theatres. As part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the iconic action-adventure, director Steven Spielberg will also appear live on stage for a Q&A with Times pop culture writer Geoff Boucher immediately following the film.

Tickets are free to the public and available starting today at www.latimes.com/raiders. Readers who miss the initial RSVP opportunity will have a chance to secure the last remaining seats by submitting their name at www.latimes.com/raiders or by following the Hero Complex Twitter feed @latherocomplex.

Hero Complex screenings provide fans with rare access to the talented directors, actors, writers and producers behind the films we love to watch over and over again. Recent events at IMAX theatres have included "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Thor," "Tron: Legacy" and "Kick-Ass."

"We created Hero Complex after recognizing that the fanboy entertainment that informs so much of our pop culture deserved a bit of journalistic justice," said The Times Assistant Managing Editor, Arts & Entertainment, Sallie Hofmeister."With our broad canvas of Hero Complex events, The Times brings readers deeper into the keen imaginations behind this vivid sector."

Begun online and now also reverse-published in The Times print edition, the award-winning Hero Complex has become a wildly popular must-read among the "geek-verse" since its debut in 2008 as the first site by a major mainstream news outlet dedicated to superheroes, sci-fi, and genre entertainment. Its increasingly influential presence at San Diego Comic-Con International was amplified this year by the first-ever Hero Complex "street guide" magazine-style collectible and The Los Angeles Times Los Angeles Times Festival of Books dedicates an entire Hero Complex area devoted to comic books and graphic novels. The annual Hero Complex Film Festival is a weekend-long event that has featured the likes of Warren Beatty, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau, Leonard Nimoy, Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott and their movies.
