Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Hollister, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning 11 miles from Hollister, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:17 a.m. PDT at a depth of 3.1 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 17 miles from Salinas and 18 miles from Soledad, Calif.

In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
