Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who died May 21 after he was found unconscious weeks before.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office described the man as about 30 years old, 5 feet 3, and weighing 261 pounds. Currently named “John Doe No. 121,” the man has brown eyes, black hair and a thin mustache. He could possibly be Latino.

The man had no identification and there were no definitive scars, tattoos or piercings, said Lt. Elissa Fleak with the coroner’s investigations division.

The man was found unresponsive in front of 1923 W. Florence Ave. on May 5. He was taken to Centinela Hospital and later transferred to Los Angeles County-Harbor/UCLA Medical Center. He never regained consciousness and went into cardiac arrest before dying, a news release said.

Anyone with information is asked to call coroner Investigator Daniel Machian at (323) 343-0754 or the Investigations Division at (323) 343-0714.
