Homicide detectives are questioning relatives of a Pico Rivera man stabbed to death in his residence early Saturday.

Deputies responding to a report of a robbery at the home in a gated community discovered the stricken 50-year-old victim about 1:35 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators from the department’s homicide bureau have detained an unspecified number of relatives for questioning. Deputy Kelvin Moody said the family members, who were at the residence when authorities arrived, have not been charged with any crime or identified as suspects.
