Los Angeles Police officers responded to a burglar alarm at a home on Puig’s block around 9:45 p.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera, a department spokeswoman.
Officers found a smashed window at the home, and items had been taken, Herrera said. The LAPD’s Commercial Crimes Division is investigating the break-in.
“No one was home at the time,” Herrera said.
Police officials did not disclose the value of the stolen items, the address of the home or the home’s owner. TMZ reported the home belonged to Puig.
Puig bought a remodeled Encino home on the block for $2.65 million earlier this year, public records show.
Burglars also hit Puig's Sherman Oaks home in March and made off with at least $170,000 worth of jewelry.
There has been a rash of burglaries at celebrity homes in the last year.
Singer Alanis Morissette’s Brentwood mansion was broken into in February. Burglars made off with a safe containing $2 million in jewelry and other valuables.
