A woman was injured Thursday when her car rolled over and then caught fire on the 405 Freeway in Fountain Valley.

The 20-year-old Rancho Santa Margarita resident, who was not identified, reportedly was driving at high speed on the southbound freeway north of Warner Avenue at about 11 a.m. when she lost control of her 2003 Volvo S40 sedan and hit the center divider, California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Joy said. The car flipped onto its roof, but the woman was able to escape before it caught fire. She was taken to a hospital, Joy said.

No one else was injured, Joy said.

The carpool lane was closed for two hours, he said.
