Redskins say Happy Thanksgiving on social media; doesn’t go over well
The Washington Redskins' Thanksgiving Day message did not go over well on social media -- shocker.
The team, which features a highly controversial name and logo, seems to have picked the absolute worst day to bring attention to themselves.
The team's verified Twitter account shared a holiday message, which included their Indian logo, on Thursday. Some responses were pretty harsh.
Despite public outcry for a team name change, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's decision to cancel the team's trademark registration because of its offensive nature, owner Dan Snyder has said numerous times he has no intention of changing the name.
