USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams did not practice Tuesday because of shoulder soreness, Coach Steve Sarkisian said.

Williams aggravated a lingering shoulder issue during the Trojans’ victory over Arizona. His status for Saturday’s game against Colorado will be determined as the week progresses.

Williams, a junior who is regarded as a possible NFL first-round draft pick, had right shoulder surgery during the offseason. He suffered a left shoulder injury during training camp.

Earlier this season, Williams was held out of early-week practices because of an ankle injury.

But he has played in every game and has a team-best four sacks.

Williams made eight tackles, including two sacks, and also forced a fumble and stopped a potential game-tying two-point conversion against Arizona.
