Michigan: Tour explores art and architecture of Detroit

Take an in-depth look at Detroit’s cultural renaissance on an excursion offered by Art Muse Los Angeles. Among the highlights are a half-tour tour of the city’s architectural highlights, led Michael Hodges, fine arts writer for the Detroit News; two visits to the Detroit Institute of Arts and stops at the African Bead Museum and the N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art, which houses a private collection of African American art.

Participants will also visit Cranbrook for a tour of its architecture and sculptures, as well as Saarinen House, home and studio of architect Eliel Saarinen.

Dates: June 10-14

Price: $3,395 per person, double occupancy; single supplement $350. Includes four nights at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, on the National Register of Historic Places, all meals except one lunch, transportation and museum admission fees. Airfare is not included. Availability may be limited.
