Infographic: 2014 LAPD homicide numbers

The Los Angeles Police Department homicide report gives a more detail look at the crime that happened last year. Violence tied to gangs remained the leading motive for homicides in the city. The 77th street division, for example, saw a 59% increase in gang-related homicides. Overall, homicide victims continue to be mostly Latinos and blacks and mostly male.
