Authorities Wednesday identified a man whose decapitated body was found in a Culver City hospital parking lot.
The autopsy for Mark James Hateley, 56, of Los Angeles is still pending, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Culver City police suspect Hateley hanged himself. A passerby found the body Monday afternoon near Washington and Inglewood boulevards, close to bushes at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
No additional details were released pending the autopsy results, Winter said.
Hateley plead guilty to driving under the influence in October, according to Orange County Superior Court.
