It’s been 14 years since they went off the air, but in some crucial respects, Beavis and Butt-head haven’t changed a lick.

Heh-heh ... he said, ‘Lick.’

Speaking to reporters at the TV press tour in Beverly Hills on Friday, creator Mike Judge said that when ‘Beavis and Butt-head’ return to MTV in the fall, the two giggling, moronic teenage boys will still wear AC/DC and Metallica T-shirts. And they’ll still be a flop with the opposite sex.

‘They have not scored,’ Judge said in response to a question about how he updated his 1990s icons.

‘I didn’t want to do a big, conscious, forcing of all this modern stuff on them,’ Judge said. ‘They really weren’t that much of their time to begin with. I even remember people saying, AC/DC and Metallica? Shouldn’t it be Pearl Jam?’

But viewers can expect a few modern targets. The new episodes will take swipes at pop-culture targets such as ‘Twilight’ and MTV’s own ‘Jersey Shore.’

Mostly, though, Beavis and Butt-head will remain as clueless as ever. Asked what thoughts his pair might have on changes wrought by social media, Judge had a ready reply.

‘I think they probably have as few thoughts on those kind of things as they ever had,’ he said.
