The star-studded comedy bit everyone seems to be talking about on Monday isn’t Billy Crystal’s opening montage from the Oscars; it’s Jimmy Kimmel’s fake trailer for ‘Movie: The Movie.’

The special post-Oscars edition of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ featured a big name guest, Oprah Winfrey, but the thing that drew the most attention was the taped bit at the top of the show.

As Kimmel himself explained to viewers, he ‘packed everything that moviegoers love into one spectacular motion picture event.’

Amassing cameos from nearly every major star in Hollywood, Kimmel’s ‘Movie: The Movie’ trailer made use of nearly every popular genre and film trope and even created a few of its own.

Is it a robotic lawyer movie starring Tom Hanks? Yes! Is it an action buddy cop thriller with a football playing dog starring Colin Ferrell? Yes! A medical drama about a centaur senator played by Gary Oldman? Yes again! Or a talking baby comedy with Kevin James? That too.

But more than anything, it’s got Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe as Black Hitler, coming back to Earth on the back of a meteor, and George Clooney as the wheelchair-bound scientist who must stop her.

With Kimmel showing Billy Crystal a thing or two about how to have fun with the movies on Oscar night, can a push to get the ABC late night guy to host the awards be far behind?
