The St. Louis Rams fired Scott Linehan as coach this morning, and now the spotlight swings to the 1-3 Oakland Raiders, who are believed to be on the verge of showing Lane Kiffin the door.

The Raiders fell apart in the fourth quarter against San Diego on Sunday, just as they did a week earlier at Buffalo.

Kiffin, whose team is heading into its bye week, has his regularly scheduled Monday news conference at 2 p.m. today, and I’ll be reporting from there. That it is still on the docket is no indication he’ll keep his job. Al Davis has fired coaches before, after those coaches sat through one last, awkward news conference.

Meanwhile, Raider Nation is torn over what the team should do. There’s a website called KeepKiffin.com, aimed at persuading Davis not to do anything rash and instead keep the current staff intact.

How many 5-15 coaches have one of those?
