Alright! We’re live from the Big A – section 223, row C!!!!

Nancy and I made it with time to spare. Really, why anyone would battle rush hour traffic to get here is beyond us.

Ok, initial thoughts: Craig Sager, TBS’s talent, is on the field wearing the most RIDICULOUS teal green jacket with a gold hankie. It’s awesome.

Nancy here—it is hard to write a post—when all the Angels fans are clanging silly red noise sticks. They are playing Metallica. And waving their silly monkeys around. Gimmicks, please. This isn’t baseball. This is a carnival.

I love when Nancy gets like this. The only difference between her and a pit bull is the Big Papi shirt she’s sporting. (I’ve got Dice-K on).

Crowd is getting all worked up as the Angels take the field. Starting lineup for the home team is as expected.

Santana looks loose in my professional opinion. Nancy concurs.

“Let’s shut up this crowd,” says Randy, our new friend sitting next to us. A Masshole of the highest order, Randy has informed Nancy and me that we are sitting in the seats of a lame Angels season-ticket holder who regularly leaves in the 7th inning and hates coming to Sox games.

I wonder why.

Game note: Lowell is out for the Sox. Not a good sign. Youk goes to third and Kotsay plays first. Game has started. Two up, two down. The first of what will no doubt be many “Let’s go Red Sox!” cheers quickly overwhelmed by Angels fans has started.

CRACK! Papi smacks a solid single to left. Youk follows with another single!

More later…man, nothing beats baseball in October. Nothing.
