TEMPE, Ariz. -- Vladimir Guerrero hit a pop fly to right field and grounded into a double play today in his first exhibition game of the spring.

Guerrero, who is recovering from surgery on his right knee, played three innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He did make a nice running catch in the gap of Luke Carlin‘s long fly ball in the top of the third.

The Angels held a 4-0 lead after three innings, scoring twice in the third inning on a two-run triple to deep center by Gary Matthews Jr., who is also recovering from knee surgery.

In addition to legging out his triple, Matthews also showed some speed in the second inning, tagging up and scoring on Erick Aybar‘s popup that shortstop Stephen Drew caught over the shoulder in shallow left-center field.
