USC quarterback Aaron Corp has a cracked bone in his left leg and will miss one to two weeks of practice, the school announced.

The situation puts freshman Matt Barkley on track to possibly start the Sept. 5 opener against San Jose State.

Corp was injured Monday and did not practice Tuesday. An MRI exam this morning revealed a small crack in the left fibula.

‘This is an unfortunate setback for Aaron, but we’re encouraged by the diagnosis and that he’s going to return quickly,’ Coach Pete Carroll said in a statement.
