Eric Gordon will miss a second consecutive game today against the Washington Wizards because of a sprained big toe on his left foot.

Gordon suffered the injury against Chicago on Wednesday at Staples Center. He said he expected to return during the eight-game trip that lasts until Feb. 3.

The Clippers are 3-7 in games Gordon has not played this season.

Gordon said he has a little bit of arthritis in the toe and will probably have to play in pain the rest of the season. The Clippers signed JamesOn Curry from the Development League after Gordon and Sebastian Telfair (groin) recently went down with injuries. Curry could make his NBA debut today, though Coach Mike Dunleavy said he had no set plan to use the guard and might prefer to let him observe a game or two.

Washington will be missing its own key component in All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas, who has been suspended indefinitely for bringing guns into the Wizards’ locker room. Washington is 3-7 since Arenas started suffering the suspension earlier this month.
