Just after Jelena Jankovic pulled out the second set with a ferocious forehand winner to move into a third set against Sara Errani, an announcement was made that the doubles match pitting James Blake and Andy Roddick against Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic at the BNP Paribas Open had been moved to Stadium 2 because, well, the night session is scheduled to start at 7:30 and it’s already 6:49. There were many boos.

There is a simple solution, though. The Roddick/Blake fans could head over to Stadium 2 because there’s plenty of time. Roddick and Blake won’t come on until after Tomas Berdych and Fernando Verdasco finish their singles match. Berdych is up 5-0 in the first set. You can probably watch the Jankovic match to a conclusion and still catch all of the Roddick-Blake doubles match.
