A Prince-ly bummer

I’m really bummed QB Kevin Prince won’t get the chance to play out his senior season at Crespi because of that horrible knee injury he suffered in the Celts’ opener. This guy is one of the very best QBs in the Valley and I was really looking forward to seeing how well he’d do in the regular-season finale against Notre Dame on Nov. 9. I mean, how many times do you get to see two potential DI starting QBs play in the same league game?

I know a couple days ago I basically said the Celts had little chance of catching or beating Notre Dame this season, but who doesn’t like an underdog? Besides, this season offered perhaps the best chance for Crespi to finish at the top of the Serra League. But I just don’t see that happening now.

Still, Crespi doesn’t have to worry too much about Loyola or Bishop Amat. These teams still don’t have the talent or experience Crespi has. Of course, anything is possible…
