There’s been a lot of talk about all the ‘rowdy fans’ who will be waiting in ‘The Pit’ Friday night at St. Paul High, but at least some of the Palmdale players won’t be surprised by what they see across the line of scrimmage.

Last weekend, a small group of Palmdale players made the long trek to Cerritos to watch the Swordsmen come back against host Gahr in the semifinals. The Falcon players in attendance were impressed by what they saw, but by no means do they feel intimidated heading into their first divisional final since 2003.

‘From what I saw, [St. Paul] is a pretty good team,’ said Palmdale WR Malcom Culver. ‘I know we can beat them, though, if we just stick to our game plan like we always do. I don’t think playing on their field is a disadvantage.’

Palmdale enters the Western Division final as the favorite after its semifinal victory over defending champion Dominguez. However, we’ll see how well the Falcons handle playing in one of the more intimidating game environments in Southern California.
