Jeannette (Penn.) QB Terrelle Pryor, pictured, was named the U.S. Army Player of Year at an awards dinner in San Antonio on Friday night, beating out St. Bonaventure RB Darrell Scott, Notre Dame QB Dayne Crist and three other players for the honor.

Pryor had a monster season for Jeannette, becoming the first player in state history to run and pass for more than 4,000 yards in his career. He also led the Jayhawks to the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League and Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association titles. In addition, he was named the MVP of the Army All-American Bowl on Saturday after leading the East to a 33-23 victory in the Alamodome.
