This should be a no-brainer. My advice for any kid who committed to UCLA during Karl Dorrell’s last hoorah? Stay the course, things can only get better.

I see Corona Santiago defensive back Anthony Dye is sticking with his commitment, even after he was wooed by Oregon State last weekend. Dye was the first player to commit to UCLA in the current senior class. The Bruins are going to like this kid, probably the closest thing they’ve had to Ricky Manning in a long time.

I can picture Dye telling the folks in Corvalis as he heads out of town, ‘Thanks for the campus tour and free finger food, Beavers, but I’m headed to Westwood.’

You don’t need to be Kirk Herbstreit to predict the Neuheisel/Walker/Chow combination will unlock the chains of futility that were wrapped around the Bruins’ ankles during the Dorrell era.
