Centennial linebacker would be a Burfict fit for Trojans

Corona Centennial junior linebacker Vontaze Burfict is close to committing to USC, according to this report.

All he needs is a ride to campus, where Coach Pete Carroll is supposedly waiting to make an offer. If that were my son, I’d rent him a limo.

Burfict is a hard-hitting, fleet-footed middle linebacker who would be a great fit in USC’s defense. He still has a tendency to overpursue on misdirection plays, but that’s just a sign of his aggressiveness.
