If you can’t make it to the Honda Center tonight to watch professional wrestling, you can check out the real stuff Saturday at the Southern Section Masters meet at Carter High.

At the Eastern Division championships Saturday at La Quinta High, Derrick Hawkins of Corona Santiago prevented a sweep by the Estrada brothers by winning the 171-pound title with a 5-2 decision over Perris junior Thomas Estrada.

Estrada’s brothers, Ramon and Alfonso, had won the previous two weight classes.

Among the other champions was heavyweight Hamani Stevens of Hemet. Stevens signed to play football at Oregon earleir this month, pulling a reverse on UCLA, which originally received a commitment from the talented offensive lineman.

Stevens, you’ll also remember, is a cleaner-cut version of Carlito.
