I don’t know if Bishop Amat’s Jordan Fox has ever read Ted William’s book on hitting, but Fox has mastered the whole hitting thing.

The senior is batting a ridiculous .541 (46 of 85), this is after an impressive junior season in which he set a single-season school record with 56 hits. But because of his size (5-foot-9), Fox had a lot of doubters coming into the year. He’s proving them wrong, though.

Going inside the numbers: Fox has been held hitless in only two of the 24 games he’s played in, he’s also had 15 multi-hit efforts. He’s basically a machine, a hitting machine.

Bishop Amat
hosts St. Monica Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. Amat is ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section’s Division V poll and the defending champion. They are expected to go deep in the playoffs.
