Football: Big week for Barr family

Anthony Barr of Loyola has already proved he’s the No. 1 junior running back in the Southland. But this is the week he plays St. Paul, and guess who’s the principal of St. Paul _ his mother, Lori.

It’s going to be a week of trying to be nice to supporters and opponents for the Barr family, but come Friday night, I’d expect the Barrs to be united for each other, though Lori may hear about it from her St. Paul students.

Barr enters in top form. He rushed for 261 yards and four touchdowns Saturday night against Hart. Of his first six carries, four went for touchdowns. He visited Notre Dame a week ago but didn’t commit. His mother and father attended Notre Dame.
