Football: It’s all Mater Dei

Just when it seemed as if St. John Bosco might make things interesting, Mater Dei’s Christian Maldonado blocked a 23-yard field goal attempt to preserve the Monarchs’ 21-0 lead. The Braves had reached the Monarchs’ two-yard line before their drive stalled.

Mater Dei now takes over at its own 13-yard line at the start of the second quarter.
