Football: Lakewood takes early 7-0 lead

Lakewood marched 66 yards on its first drive, scoring on quarterback Jesse Scroggins’ four-yard pass to Ron Pigee to take a 7-0 lead over Servite at Cerritos College.

Jerry Stone had 40 yards in five carries on the drive and Scroggins completed both of his passes for 19 yards.

Servite, which went three and out on its first drive, takes over at its own 20-yard line.
