Girls’ water polo: Kennedy’s team receives grant

The La Palma Kennedy girls’ water polo team won a $1,000 grant and an additional $1,000 in Adidas gear by being selected as one of 25 Body by Milk MVP teams by the Body by Milk Campaign.

Kennedy player Brittiny Grey nominated her team by showing how players drank chocolate milk to help refuel for competition. The team will receive its awards noon Wednesday in a ceremony at the school.
