Football: Tesoro leads, 28-0, at halftime

Orange Lutheran finally moved the ball to midfield on its final possession of the first half against Tesoro, but in fitting fashion the Lancers lost five yards on the next play.

It’s been that kind of game for Lutheran, which trails the Titans, 28-0, at intermission. The Lancers have 35 yards of total offense and gained three first downs.

Tesoro scored touchdowns on its first four possessions and appears headed to play top-seeded Long Beach Poly in next Saturday’s championship at Angel Stadium.

Titans quarterback Robbie Picazo has completed 10 of 12 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown. Running back Zach Mitchell has 101 yards and one touchdown in eight carries for Tesoro.
