Baseball: Fredrickson throws first no-hitter for West Ranch

Trevor Fredrickson threw the first no-hitter in school history on Tuesday in Valencia West Ranch’s 9-1 victory over Harbor City Narbonne in a Durango tournament game in Las Vegas.

Cal Vogelsang and Jake Bernards each hit two-run home runs for West Ranch (10-3), which plays Reseda Cleveland today in a semifinal game.

Cleveland (13-2) defeated Las Vegas Centennial, 5-4, with Taylor Costin going two for three and scoring what turned out to be the winning run in the sixth inning. Danny Vidales pitched four innings of two-hit relief.
