Moorpark Coach Tim Lins has two top quarterbacks who have decided to stick it out, so Lins is alternating them on each series, and it worked out fine on Friday, when the Musketeers defeated Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in the championship game of the St. Francis passing tournament.

Senior Brody Rohach was 8-1 as a varsity starter last season. Senior Brian Blechen, who has committed to Utah, was also a promising QB last season until knocked out by injury. The two are sharing time, with Blechen playing receiver when he’s not at QB.

Lins intends to use each during games, and both players seem to be responding well to the competition.

‘They’re both wonderful kids,’ Lins said. ‘They both knew they have to compete.’

Also performing well Friday was safety Joey Eckert and linebacker Marc Palacios.
