It sounds like a good plan. Implementing it will be tougher than talking about it.

Dorsey Coach Paul Knox said for the Dons to defeat host Crenshaw in their Coliseum League showdown on Friday, Dorsey must ‘match their intensity in the game, period. They play ferocious the whole game and we have to do that as well.’

The other key? Stopping big-play threats DeAnthony Thomas and Geno Hall.

Knox said Thomas, whose ankle has not been 100% since he sprained it during Crenshaw’s season-opening victory over Lakewood, has mostly played free safety and receiver in recent weeks, but he’s still capable of scoring on any given play. Hall has a penchant for making acrobatic, game-changing catches.

‘We can’t allow big plays by those guys the whole game,’ Knox said. ‘We have to keep them under control. If we let them make big plays it will be kind of tough for us.’

Dorsey presents its own problems with a three-quarterback system. Crenshaw Coach Robert Garrett said preparing for the Dons was ‘like preparing for three teams. ... They look awesome.’
