Football: Farmer selected for 2011 bowl game

It’s apparently never too early for the folks at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl to start thinking about generating publicity for their next event. Or the event after that.

Game organizers have announced the first 19 players selected to participate in a game that is more than a year away, and Gardena Serra receiver George Farmer was among those to make the cut. Expect plenty more Southern Californians to make the roster in the coming months.

The 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl will be played Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
