Top-ranked Westchester simply appears too athletic and overpowering for Western League rival Fairfax, which has fallen behind, 40-24, at halftime tonight.

The Lions are overly relying on three-point baskets--all too few of which are going in--and getting massively out-rebounded by the bigger Comets. Westchester forward Dwayne Polee Jr. had the highlight of the first half when he took an alley-oop pass from Kareem Jamar from halfcourt and dunked.

Jamar has 10 points and Polee eight for Westchester.

Fairfax relied on the shooting of Raymond Barry in the first quarter and Jordan Weathers in the second, but it is in danger of getting blown out. Weathers has 11 points and Barry six.

The game is not a sellout, a rarity in this series. Perhaps the fans knew what was afoot.
