Football: Corona Centennial puts up impressive statistics

Corona Centennial had a 10-0 regular season that will be tough to top in the statistics department.

Quarterback Michael Eubank is completing 71% of his passes (104 for 147), has 1,813 yards passing, 16 touchdowns and one interception. He also has rushed for 789 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Running back Barrinton Collins has rushed for 1,620 yards and scored 29 touchdowns. He is averaging 11.7 yards a carry.

On defense, linebacker Ryan Jack is averaging 10.2 tackles to lead the team. Lineman Milo Jordan has recorded nine tackles for losses.

And what’s stunning is that Centennial still has perhaps five games left to play. That means Eubank should get over the 1,000-yard mark rushing and could approach 3,000 yards passing.
