Boys’ basketball: Corona del Mar tournament is loaded with top teams

Las Vegas Bishop Gorman is coming to down for the Corona del Mar tournament Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and if the No. 1 college prospect in the West, Shabazz Muhammad, is with the team, there should be plenty of fans coming to the event.
They will be playing games in two gyms. Santa Ana Mater Dei, Mission Hills Alemany, Chino Hills Ayala, San Juan Capistrao JSerra and Huntington Beach Edison are among the schools participating.
Action starts at 4 p.m. on Friday, with the last games starting at 9 p.m.
Bishop Gorman is scheduled to play Mater Dei at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday in what should be the featured game of the weekend.
