Football: Tray Boone gives Narbonne a big lift with touchdown run

Narbonne, looking as dead as Jacob Marley in ‘A Christmas Carol,’ has some life.

Running back Tray Boone took an inside handoff and rambled 74 yards for a touchdown on the Gauchos’ first play from scrimmage in the third quarter, pulling them to within 13-8 against Long Beach Poly after they converted a two-point play.

Narbonne had not so much gained a first down on its previous five drives.

Now to see if Narbonne can contain Poly quarterback Chaiyse Hales.
