Football: Santa Margarita defeats Orange Lutheran, 31-10

No. 13 Santa Margarita gets back on track with an impressive, 31-10 victory over No. 9 Orange Lutheran at Saddleback College on Friday.

Quarterback Johnny Stanton and Ryan Wolpin had big games for the Eagles (6-1, 1-1), who improved their chances of making the postseason following last week’s loss to Mater Dei.

Stanton scored the final touchdown on a short run late in the fourth quarter. Stanton finished with three rushing touchdowns and passed for another.

Orange Lutheran (5-2, 0-2), which may have to win the rest of its games in order to make the playoffs, was held scoreless in the second half.
