If you want to see a real neighborhood rivalry, Friday’s football game between Oak Park and host Agoura should produce a block-party-like atmosphere.

The two schools are less than three miles apart.

‘It’s neighborhood kid going against neighborhood kid,’ Agoura Coach Charlie Wegher said.

What a refreshing moment in high school sports.

The two schools supposedly haven’t faced off in football since the 1980s.

It should attract a large crowd, with bragging rights at stake.

Key to the game will be Agoura blocking Oak Park defensive lineman Luca Bruno so that standout quarterback Richard Poutier can pass and run.
